A simple argument for inclusivism

The God of the Bible is the God of all flesh (Jer 32:27)
His nature and power are seen by the things he has made (Rom 1:20)
God clearly speaks to and has relationship with those outside of the “chosen” faith (Acts 10:1-8)
The whole earth is full of his glory (Isa 6:3)
The heavens declare his righteousness and all peoples behold his glory (Ps 97:6)

The verses chosen concentrate on what is as opposed to what will be. This gives rise to application regarding what others in other cultures might do with that which is. It is right to believe that God is working to save all people in all contexts.

The limiting factor in all of this is that the God of the Bible lays out clear doctrines on sin, salvation and the exclusivity of Jesus Christ. Note it is the exclusivity of Jesus Christ and not of the church.

A Little Hypocrisy

Ok...one more on abortion and then I will leave it alone. And why do I talk about abortion? Because it really represents the crossing of a line that should not be crossed. I am not saying that there are not difficult decisions around the whole issue (what to do with the babies if they are kept, should the women who have them be criminally prosecuted if they were illegal, social guidance for avoiding the situation in the first place, etc.).

In any case the fact that emotional appeal against the practice is not made is quite astounding. You will find more news pieces making emotional appeals for animal rights than for the rights of the unborn.

Are there similar stories on abortion? I don't think so.

I purposely used Fox News as most liberals (or progressives as some like to be called) think it is a conservative station. Guess again. Fox News is in the end no different.
